This Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training has the objective of preparing instructors with a solid foundation in the ethical and philosophical underpinnings of the yoga practice, as well as a knowledge of the physical and subtle bodies, allowing them to lead safe and effective yoga sessions. In addition to fundamental information, our program is focused specifically on giving instructors tools that will allow them to work with special populations, including, but not limited to, prenatal women and seniors, as well as populations dealing with:
- Emotional imbalances such depression and anxiety
- PTSD from a variety of types of trauma
- Recovery from addiction or abuse
- Chronic Pain and neurological challenges
- Cancer

Course Curriculum
Meet Our Program Director & Lead Trainer
Moniqua Guerrero, MA, ERYT-500 is an educator with 15 years of experience in a variety of settings and with all age groups, from Early Childhood Education to Higher Education. With certifications in Power Yoga (200HR), Therapeutic Yoga (230HR), Adaptive Yoga (300HR) and Aerial Yoga, as well as Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Moniqua is the Owner of Space Yoga Studio and the Founder and President of the nonprofit organization Project Create Space, which has the mission of providing no-cost, population-specific yoga programs to underserved communities across the Augusta, Georgia area. In addition to her background in yoga, Moniqua also holds a Masters Degree in Hispanic Linguistics and currently teaches Spanish at Augusta University.

Learn physical and subtle anatomy that will help you align your postures and flow easier on your mat, and arm yourself with techniques for sequencing postures together on your own.
